Ghosts of the Past

Best of Show Winner "In the Field"

I get to see great sections of this fantastic country in my travels and the ghosts of the past are everywhere, school houses, family farms, churchs, ranch houses, and the ruins of pioneer communities. These old buildings (ghosts) really seem to have an effect on me and I cannot pass them up. As I stand on the prairie at one of these sites, I swear you can hear the laughter of children in the wind.

I was asked by XTO Energy to produce a book using the images I had captured of their operations from around the country. I enlisted the talented designer Gina McEuen, of Robeegraffix, to design and produce this book with me. We chose 105 images that I had captured from over the 3 previous years. It is a 10x14  4 color offset printed, hand bound with leathercover, with an embossed copper plate, custom leather sleeve, and presentation box. Gina's design and attention to detail created the perfect showcase for my images.

We entered our book in the Fort Worth Addy Awards which won a Gold for Gina's Design, a Gold for my photography and the Best Of Show Print.
